About us

90% of what we have learnt in our working life has been learnt by doing, on the job.  Not at university, not in a classroom and not from an eLearn module, but by giving it a go and having a crack.

Yet most organisations leave on-the-job learning to chance, with minimum follow up post training, leading to little behavioural change. YakTrak’s co-founders, Brad Thomas and Peter Grist wanted to find a better way.

With 30 years’ experience in behavioural change they were sure that the answer lay in improving day-to-day tactical leadership and people development activities.

In 2014, Brad and Peter created YakTrak to solve the problem and so much more.

 

How we roll

YakTrak is all about partnering with the right customers and working with them to co-create the best outcomes. We follow the IDEO Human Centred Design model, giving space for customer-led development and rapid iteration. This keeps customisation time and costs down.

 

We’re growing fast

We’re growing fast, helping some of Australia’s most recognisable brands in highly regulated industries motivate staff and track employee development. Our product continues to grow and evolve. In 2020, in response to an unpreceded swath of royal commissions, reviews, recommendations and new regulations we introduced a compliance feature to help customers better manage and minimise their exposure to conduct risk.
